Winterbound takes it name from the fact that our home and studio are snowbound for five months of the year. We are right on the Canadian border and a half mile in the woods. Both our studio and home are hand constructed, by us, out of logs from our property in 1977. Hand notching the first ten logs was fun, after that . . .

We still heat with wood, which we cut ourselves, grow a giant garden and find a place for many unwanted shelter cats - six and counting. Let’s not forget Leah, our 110 pound German Shepard.

We have developed our own unique and innovative style, partly because of where we live and how it touches us, but mostly by working together. We can’t think any better place to do what we do.
